So . . . people have been asking, so here they are. Pictures of Jeff's masterpiece. He has worked up a lot of sweat working on these steps. The before pics show the nasty old rotting railroad ties that formed the steps out of our back door and up to the second level of our yard. The new pics show what an amazing transformation he produced. HUGE kudos to all the guys from church who helped him rip out the old steps, and a GREAT BIG THANKS to Grandpa Snarr who helped finish the lower set of steps in a weekend--no small feat!
And here is Ali's latest accomplishment. She started preschool in September, and she is amazing us all with her persistent insistence on silence at school. She communicates very effectively apparently with facial expressions and squeaks. She is clearly picking something up though. These are stories that we did not tell her. I do not know how much they were repeated at school. We did not help her learn them (except for getting the number words correct for the pumpkins).
Fortunately, she always ends the day with a smile and seems to love going to preschool. She talks about what the other children do and what they did that was fun. And she's always reporting on what Mrs. Costabile taught them. A lesson on stop signs definitely got through, and Ali dutifully announced every stop sign we approached for the next week. Thanks Ali!
